Film and Television Producer Assistant

Film and television producers' assistants provide technical and other assistance for the production, recording and/or broadcasting of artistic performances.

A film and television producer's assistant may perform the following tasks:

  • provide clerical assistance, compile details of program requirements and arrange artists' rehearsal times
  • assist with the preparation of music, written material and photographs to be included in the production of the program
  • advise studio floor personnel of camera cues
  • keep records of filmed sequences for visual and narrative flow.

Film and Television Producer who plans and manages the technical and artistic resources in television programs or films. Film and television producers oversee the whole process of production, drawing all of the components together. They control the budget, recruitment of staff, arrange and supervise script development, and coordinate sets, locations and equipment. Film and television producers usually have extensive experience in the film and television industry and proven entrepreneurial ability. The producer's role is sometimes combined with that of directing.
