Powder Coater
Powder coaters prepare metal and other surfaces, and apply
protective or decorative powder coatings to manufactured
products or other items ready for baking, to provide a
finished surface.
Powder coaters may perform the following tasks:
- prepare the surface, clean dirt and grease from the
product, remove rust and chemically pre-treat the metal
surfaces
- apply masking over areas that are not to be coated
- select the appropriate coating to produce the desired
finish and colour
- use appropriate equipment to apply the coating to the
surface
- examine the finished product for compliance with
specifications.
